Gladiator: Filming Locations in Tuscany

But those who come soon understand: the magic of the place goes far beyond the screen.

Elysium

The nearest parking area is located at the entrance of Pienza (see map below), about 1 km from the filming site.
⚠️ Please note: a small road leads closer to the spot (the Pieve dei Santi Vito e Modesto chapel in Corsignano), but it is reserved for residents only.

Maximus House

Maximus’ house is located at the entrance of San Quirico d’Orcia.
This sequence was filmed at Podere di Poggio Manzuoli, where you can park right in front of the entrance.
